THE ARCHITECT'S CRAFT 2

Ex-Meccanotessile, Florence, 2004

The architect’s solitude and the difficulties faced by those who work in the discipline, making hard, careful and rigorous choices, are metaphorically underlined in this performance in which, unlike that of 2002, not even nature offers its support to those who, despite moving with caution, often find themselves in a situation of impasse. This is now the architect’s “craft”: if anything it is in technique (viewed, however, in its more benevolent and less harsh aspect) that a support can be found, but one that is at times illusory.
