This image made for La Lettura (‘Il Corriere della sera’, April 22, 2018), also inspired by a drawing from the ‘70s (‘Competitive situations’, 1971) shows a decaying architecture, its distruction coming from the perpetual motion of the waves of an unknown sea. The decay of architecture, though slow, seems to be unavoidable if compared to nature and its everlasting strength, thus making any and every ambition or competition among architects futile and useless.
