ICE HOUSE II

Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA), 1972

Realized under the same climatic conditions as the first project in which the material was “worked” by means of ice, this second intervention was carried out on a small and nondescript house in a small and nondescript district of the city. The house vanished completely inside a single block of ice. Apart from a discourse on material, the attention was focused here on the indefiniteness of the context, seeking, by subtraction, to emphasize its repetitive character.
