HANDMADE

ALT Collection, Alzano Lombardo (Bergamo), 2012

The entire surface of the wall (3.5 x 4 m) is occupied by a natural, hand-worked material, clay, which retains the shape and print of the fist in a repeated series of apparently identical gestures. In reality it is precisely the working by hand that maintains the similarity and uniqueness of the gesture, so that this secular "altarpiece," as well as precise intervention in space, inevitably becomes a statement on the importance of the use of natural materials and of the presence of the human being as an actor to connote in whoever uses them a greater and more conscious participation in the gesture and in its production, whether creative or not.
